Young Monday Successfully Answers WWCSD
Wednesday, September 10th, 2008Hailing from the West coast of Canada, Young Monday have whipped up, dare i say, an absolutely gorgeous and … thoughtful (i can’t think of a better word) track that could be used on the soundtrack of “The Making of Kubrick’s 2001” if such a documentary were ever to be made. Or, put another way (if i was getting paid per usage of the letter ‘S’) i would say it’s a slow but not stagnant siren song of Solaris — I totally could see being transfixed by this tune as I’m being sucked lower and lower toward’s Stanisław Lem’s heady creation while not having a care in the universe. Per usual, Brandon’s little mind asked the question WWCSD? What would Carl Sagan do? If the answer is “burn the rug down in my turtleneck and brown coudouroy jacket”, chances are i’m gonna like the tune.

Another brilliant hook up from the Workout.
And, for giggles, i’m throwing in a seemingly unrelated track from Aussie land’s Theatre of Disco… there’s something about these two songs that remind me of the other. Have a listen and tell me if i’m not mad.
