Royksopp and Robyn Make Beautiful Music Together
Wednesday, May 27th, 2009But srsly, non? Yes i know it’s already been on umpteenth billion blogs but whatevs, me like. Robyn’s career totally needs to segue into permanent vocal muse for a rotating cabal of tasteful semi-electro bands; this time around, Royksopp, naturally. There seems to be a symbiotic relationship that thrives in that circumstance. She also should be involved in more car commercial songs. And forward-thinking electronics ads. That girl can do no wrong. And still so down to earth. Love the daily show segment from a few months back where she was interviewed.

Also posting the Chateau Marmont remix as it’s my fave of the lot. And there is a lot, of that lot, if you know what i mean. The single will be released next month, so check the Norwegian duo’s myspace for more deets.

the atmosphere is like Neverending Story. Or maybe the obvious association could be La Boum-esque dancing with a headphone alone on a crowded dancefloor with 80s discoballs. But these songs are truly perfect for days full of ugly hangovers when you just wish to sit on a glacier above everything with cold winds clearing your aching head. Superman sitting on the icy top of the world, sadly holding and staring at some cryptonite in his hands.
