Haha, witty title! NighWaves who are responsible for the Valerie-like Binary collective (with ALFA and Fabian) are organizing an event to celebrate the dreamwaves, themselves and the Binary artists. October 6th in Hollywood. Since we’re couple thousand miles away, rotting in Hungary, we can’t be there, we can just urge everyone who has the option to attend. Not far from our very own Kunk-aims, they’ve set out to open a new space for electronic music and djing. Usually we don’t advertise LA parties because of obvious reasons but with this one we can make an exception: we really like Binary, we seem to share some common motives, it’s a kickoff party and we’re just starting our own proper season so it’s sympathy all around. And they’ve sent us songs! Dreamwave, their own genre, meaning 80s, synths and smooth disco. Take a look at the (small) flyer on the right and here’s some listening material from NightWaves.

LA collective, Binary sent us tracks from their new artist: Fabian. The Binary is run by Johs and Kylie from NightWaves (check NightWaves out they have some killer tunes). We’ve posted ALFA earlier who joined the club lately. So Fabian. First I’d like to quote Josh and Kylie about his tracks: “The entire vibe is almost apocalyptic. This isn’t bloghouse… Fabian would do better opening for Rage Against The Machine than he’d do at Cinespace.” I really adore this kind of vocation. They totally stand behind Fabian. On my side, I can add that there are something wrong with labelling these tracks bangers (check the BigStereo post), I know I tried. I think they sound like Cryptonites. Not French stuff like SebastiAn stands out of Ed Banger. True, there’s something apocalyptic the tracks drive disco towards its own end with the raw power. I’m not totally sold but definetly deserves a lot of attention with the rest of Binary.
