Bulletproof was my official ‘song of the half-month’ about 4 weeks ago so i suppose it’s apt to have a listen to the inevitable remix onslaught. This La Roux track is a tricky one because it’s so straight-up pop that it doesn’t lend itself too easily to dance versions. Foamo’s received the most attention and delivers a fairly solid if not risk-taking club edit. Just a Band also had a go and although their production isn’t as airtight production-wise as the previous, I find it more inspiring. Funny also to see Midnight General of Disco Sirens fame lay down an edit — theirs takes on a heavy 90s vibe which can certainly work in the right circumstances. Tepr kind of takes a more light-wobbly angle which is okay and perhaps best geared for outdoor parties over the summer.

The best? Well it kinda depends on what’s yer thang. Foamo’s is the ‘best produced’ but for me the hands down winner is Just a Band as it’s the dirtiest of the lot. But that’s -just an opinion- (har har) so listen yo’ self and decide.
