Addicted to Love Simulation
Wednesday, October 14th, 2009We’ve been posting the shit out of London’s 3-piece nu-dance space-disco synth band, Heads We Dance. In June, they had their first full-lenght out, called Love Technology which title already sets the floor for complicated virtual love triangles in mmorpgs and between robots on space ships in other galaxies. Yep, human alienation has really deep consequences. Now, HWD just recently collected their best remixes into a remix album, titled it Dance Technology and made it available as a free download at their site! Go for it while it’s hot! One of my favourites is the Tepr rework of Love in the Digital Age. It’s nice and dark, mean and chopped up. Told ya, alienation. Remember this word. No, not while watching District 9. Or maybe. Vocals are epic, even Interpol or Editors epic with the small twist of being totally influenced by Soft Cell or whatever 80s stuff along these lines. Tepr created an awesome subtle banger.

featuring underground star,
Apologies from the Kunkers! Half-o-kunk has just spent the last 2 weeks moving into his new flat which doesn’t yet have the good ole internets, and the other half-o-kunk has been mainlining coffee to get all his crap in order before going to the US of A for Thanksgiving week. On that turn: I’ll be in NYC this weekend, SF next week, and NYC again the following weekend… not sure yet where destinations will be but give a shout if you have suggestions!
