VISITOR & Clockwork

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

On a more blogosphere friendly note, I decided to share a Los Feeling remix. I know, most of you probably had enough of it but still, there is some beauty to these tracks that explode on the net, returning again and again with new reworks and a change of clothes. This time, Clockwork sent us his best effort at transforming the track. We’ve been posting about him for like a year and he still can’t be much more than 18. His remix works with really nice dynamics, the vocal-standout part is an awesome prelude to the hypnotically beating chopped-up part, and they alternate tastefully. I’m not totally sold on VISITOR but whatever, Los Feeling is just gonna be one of the biggest blog-hits of the year and probably dominates dancefloors all around. Give them love on myspaces and keep an eye out for anything upcoming by LA wonderboy, Clockwork.

One More Devoted to Woah

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Maybe I should feel ashamed of my attempt to pimp our Saturday party this much but I clockworkhave my non-selfish reasons too. For one, it’s a remix by Clockwork, superbly talented youngster from LA. His name is Henry Steinway and he’s so nice, he keeps sending us his newest productions. This one is not his newest but still… Woah is a glorious dancefloor-filler in itself and Clockwork manages to add his personal touch to the track. Really cool hi-hats and claps there. A bit different and it’s enough for a unique feel and keeps the dance epidemic dynamics in Grum’s song. Club’s get ready to blow up!

Clockwork Heart And Love But No Orange This Time

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Sorry for the title. Clockwork is a kid from LA who seems to know his way around synths and a laptop. I mean it. Seriously, the guy has some talent and he’s only 17 years old!clockwork Better pay attention now, folks. Thanks to him for finding us! This early in the career one important factor for the shit/good distinction is the songs one chooses to remix. At least for me. You’ll find two tracks below: first is Kanye West, the other is Cut Copy. Both have been blogged a couple of times and the latter one is super-remixed by giants like Midnight Juggernauts. With the Kanye song, the question is if the remix can present a unique sound while the original is destined to be a widely popular thing. With the Cut Copy song, the issue seems to be that whether there’s a point for this millionth remix in the ocean of remixes or not. Clockwork jumps both obstacles. Love Lockdown is not gonna be my favourite but the remix with the freaky synth and rhythm definetly makes it hotter. Hearts on Fire is hard stuff but there’s subtle originality in the work Clockwork did and I really love how the tension rises from the beginning and it keeps up for 3 minutes.
