We, here in Kunkland, are getting ready for tomorrow night as the Chewy Chocolate Cookies guy is gonna jump behind the decks for us. Supporting and other infos are on the flyer below. We’ve posted about him already a couple times but here’s his newest stuff: a Santogold and a Buy Now! remix. Both tracks are on the sicker bass-y end of the line with heavy synths and freaky rhythm. Since I’ve never liked Santogold, I’m more for the Buy Now! one - the original was a sick, heavy-disco bastard and this new one is not different. Plus an older track which is probably retired and a pensioner if we measure it in blog-time but we wanna get the attention and we haven’t posted it: the Genesis remix. Short but effective.

Sweden surely has talent but we’ve only been posting about the weird, alternative, indie band-music stuff. There are heavy electro criminals in the country as well. The Swedish House Maffia. Okay, really awful name but Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angelo got together, formed Buy Now! and made a dancefloor-killer house-hymn. If you know a lot about disco then you can find a classic song hidden inside it. According to Missingtoof it was around for the first time in 2005. WTF? 2005? This must be a wormhole-timemachine sick sci-fi thing.

Now, Streetlife DJs (on the right) are cool. They are from London. They made remixes for Cazals, Muse, Michael Jackson to mention a few. They actually edited Body Crash so it’s not that it’s exciting once again and a bit less irritating after 10 listens or so. Give Streetlife some myspace love and check the awesome and many remixes they made.

Kunk made a mixtape for you, darlings. It’s their second…umm…ever. It’s a nice blend of fun and…fun and…well, fun. So fuck professionalism, it’s amateur - in the sense of the universal idea of being human. Nevertheless, it has everything an ear can wish for and it’s only around 30 mins.

Featuring the soon to be dancefloor anthem Body Crash from Buy Now (first played in Hungary by Brandon at Kollektiva’s NYE party); the new Cut Copy single which lives up to the expectations after Hearts on Fire; and the already posted Designer Drugs mix of the beautiful Hail Social song which we can’t stop listening to on repeat.
