We Will Laserdance You Under the Table

Kunkers recently held a so-called ‘bad-italo’ themed dive bar party which was a total hoot. In doing some research for the gig I stumbled across Laserdance. For me they were an (awesome) novelty. But as i’ve been told by some of my european buddies, they along with other italo- and euro-dance favorites of the 80s, were FM rock staples. So basically what Journey and REO Speedwagon were for me in the US of A, Laserdance and Ken Laszlo were for Euros. No wonder i moved to this continent.
Whether my leg was being pulled or not, “Power Run” is a classic call to, er, power running, right from the laser-y & space-y source. Laserdance was (is?) a pair of Dutch dudes in the late 80s, who then releasd the album Future Generation, with this track along with several tasty others.
You can hear sounds similar to this in countless mini-niches these days, and there is an unsurprising relating sound to later Dutch producers such as Alden Tyrell.

What I wouldnt give to have a debate with you about this. You just say so many things that come from nowhere that Im pretty sure Id have a fair shot. Your blog is great visually, I mean people wont be bored. But others who can see past the videos and the layout wont be so impressed with your generic understanding of this topic.
