We’ve already covered some of Parisian Bestrack’s efforts, with their remix of Tesla Boy and the recent edit of their Wishmaker by Worship. This day, however, marks the release of their first EP, Sunset City on Bouchemiture Recordings, the label of our beloved Justin Faust. With remixes by Louis La Roche, et al, Sunset City could be described as a mix between Brandon’s funny expression of cloud city disco and the decadent fading-sunlight cheesiness of the 80s in the manner of the brilliant Russ Chimes and others. Oh yeah, you can feel the soft palm of French touch and the cabrio sportscar running along LA on a highway of light up to the sky. Synthy funk and disco plays elegantly from the radio. In other words, get the EP (Beatport) while it’s still hot! And it’s fucking hot.
