Jesus, I don’t know if I’m getting old or just not paying enough attention anymore or whatever but I just can’t wrap my head around the way The Big Pink went by me unnoticed. They had a fucking Gang Gang Dance remix for fuck’s sake! Anyway, no use being serious about it. So it’s The Big Pink. Duo. London. Fog and love. Shoegaze. Jesus and The Mary Chain. Repression of anxieties. The Stone Roses. Hypnotizing drums. A much better Kasabian. Noise. Psychedelia. Alt-disco. (Pfff I should’ve just collected and copied what others said. I mean I could say a lot of good things, things that match the pics on their myspace and the whole atmosphere and everything but there is no point.) Awesome album out on 13th September on 4AD. This album is really good. I was really impressed with the singles, so I’m glad to hear that the rest of the album holds up as well.
