I sorta like Heartbreak in the way I sorta love Modern Talking. Not sure why i make that association, but perhaps another out there will as well, so take that as you will. Vitalic is another story, though. Been around for what seems like decades and consistently evoke that ’stomping around in a fog-machine filled berlin club in the mid-90s’ feel which I definitely appreciate from time to time. However that’s hardly a pigeonhole — the French producer has criss-crossed a lot of genres over the 00’s and we’re all the better for it. I haven’t been a fan of every edit, but the We’re Back remix is spot on — hits that center spot of the venn diagram between techno, electro, and house -ith a tiny pinch of dreamwave thrown in to sweeten the mix.
