UK DISKO!
February 25th, 2009Linus Loves sent us the new single from Burns called Disko. Last time we checked on him he put out his mix for 2k9. Btw he remixed stuff like Late of the Sun and Empire of the Pier. For me, they are kinda in the same league with GRUM sound-wise. Great to see these UK producers creating their sound with the same energy and talent as their Aussie or French contemporaries. Disko is what it’s name suggests: a twisted nu-disco hymn song that’s gonna keep the crowd on a dancefloors for a while. Clubs, get ready for the new hit! No wonder, that Burns got in to Radio 1’s Annie Mac’s picks for 2009.

Speaking of the UK, Neo Tokyo was from there but now it seems he relocated to Paris according to his myspace. Nevertheless, after his awesome remixes, he now sent us his new original track titled Because You Left. I think it kinda goes well with the Burns track, that’s why I dared to put them in one post. The nu-electro of the Britts manifest in them nicely. This song is more of a banger than the previous one, more on the line of Tronik Youth and stuff. Great distortion, amiga synths and the chopped vocals are always good to hear.
