A short respite from the usual faggy electro cos kunk is getting its groove on today to different beat. Probably because i was always so transfixed by the original, this voice-over of the Zombies’ classic is smooth. You wouldn’t expect soul sista vibe and index finger waggin’ delivery dropped on a UK rock classic to be audibly palatable, but Melanie Fiona pulls it off. Kudos to her and hello ‘4.30 a.m. closing the set song’ for the next few months.
