The Midnight Juggernauts have become the latest in a long long line of artists to cover the classic by Plastic Bertrand, Ca Plane Pour Moi. And, they give it a pretty good run. I thought it timely then to point out and share with y’all, a lesser known but infinitely more awesome version, by Elton Motello, that was release around the same time (actually before if i’m not mistaken) and uses the same backing track: Jet Boy Jet Girl. So much more awesome in fact that in the past several years I can’t even be bothered to play the Plastic version. Mabye it’s just the Kunkers suspect sexuality at work here… but seriously, how can you top lyrics like this?…

It was a rhetorical question — you can’t top those lyrics. Why this version of the track hasn’t been covered a million times is unbeknownst to me… (although i think the Damned did, so there’s at least one)
